About me

I am an experienced and professional animal trainer, who is passionate about helping you reach your training goals. My approach involves no pain, fear, or intimidation and I believe that positive reinforcement is the best way to achieve success.

I hold a BSc degree in Pet Behaviour and Welfare and previously have garnered years of experience training a variety of different dog and cat breeds. Currently, I am a member of the Pet Professional Guild British Isles (PPGBI), and a Provisional Clinical Animal Behaviourist member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC)*.

I have a specific interest in the training of assistance dogs. I offer training through the ADUK candidacy charity RAD assistance dogs, but I understand that long waitlists and strict entry criteria can mean that joining an organisation isn't always accessible. So, I also offer training and public access tests for privately trained dogs.

I share my life with three dogs; a Belgian Tervueren, a German Wirehaired Pointer cross, and a deaf and visually impaired spaniel, so I have a good understanding of both high-drive dogs and adapting training plans to suit dogs with specific needs.

As well as working with dogs professionally, I train with my own dogs in various sports such as canicross and bikejoring, ringcraft, rally obedience, trick training, and gundog work.

*Provisional members have demonstrated that they have the appropriate level of Knowledge and Understanding for the professional role of Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB). They are now gaining the practical experience necessary to be assessed as a CAB and therefore become a Full member of the APBC. The APBC supports its Provisional members undertaking behaviour consultations.
